The Importance of Relaxation

One of the MOST IMPORTANT skills I love for our dogs (and my clients dogs!) to have is to RELAX! Whether they learn to relax on place, in a crate or just in a down. This helps their mindset tremendously long term and for competition.

In this photo, we worked on laying our pups down and touching them. Getting them used to this type of exercise can be so helpful for vet visits, stretching, nail trims and many other things!

I love for my pups to be able to relax on their side in order to get a really nice stretch after their exercise.

For puppies, this is such a big thing to do! Practice touching their feet, tail, belly, ears, mouth and even picking them up!
