These Injuries are Overlooked!

Did you know that some of the most common injuries in performance dogs are toe and carpus injuries?

This tends to be overlooked but these joints bear a lot of weight when stopping, landing, climbing and tugging.

Ways to help prevent injuries to these joints would be doing proper warm ups! Passive range of motion to these joints can be helpful. Flex, extend and spread the toes slightly to get a good amount of motion between them. Flex, extend and gently rotate the carpus in both directions 2-3x.
